Octave Reference

The “OCTAVE REFERENCE” setting in MidiSetup adjusts the visual display of MIDI note octaves to match your external gear or software standards (e.g., displaying Middle C as C3 or C4). It is purely a visual aid and does not alter the actual MIDI note values being sent or received.

New Progression Part options: Root, Start Line, Silence

Each part of a progression now includes new behavior options:

New option: Force Root on Chord Change

With Force Root on Chord Change, the bass can force to land on the root note whenever a chord changes. This reinforces harmonic clarity and creates a stronger, more grounded groove when combining different bass lines and progressions.

Your songs, progressions, and settings can now be safely stored using iCloud backups, making it easy to move between devices and protect your work.

Advanced Integration with Pop Drummer

Version 1.30 strengthens the connection between bass and drums:

• Standalone and AUv3 integration allows you to:
  • Send grooves from iBassist to Pop Drummer
  • Receive grooves from Pop Drummer and automatically generate bass lines
  • AUv3 sync play/stop between both plugins
